Top Mistakes in Salary Negotiation :

Expectations - It is not a good idea to reveal your salary expectations in the beginning of an interview. We should first evaluate the Job Responsibilities, Timings or working hrs and all other conditions.

Values over needs - During wage settlement, the highlight needs to be on your own values rather than your requirements. Consider what values you possess towards the company.

Negotiate by yourself - It is always better not to include anyone else in negotiation process with the employer. It does not look professional.

Limited exploration – Always perform adequate search over internet prior to the job interview. There are lots and lots of information available on internet for almost all the organizations. Info like pay for the Position , Skills , Location.

Written Proof – Make sure that you get the job offer in writing. This will ensure that you are never cheated at any moment of time.

Early Acceptance – Always take time to think about the job being offered, never hurry to accept the offer this may put you in serious trouble.

Other Compensation / Rewards – Do not reject the offer soon if you don’t like the salary offered. Instead ask for the time and look for the advantage and disadvantages of the organization. If the company has good incentives / rewards plan then it may be a bad decision of rejecting the offer soon.
